Nigeria Meets London at Faaji Sundays
Now before we begin, I think we need to explain a few things about us that put Faaji Sundays into context:
Firstly, Ruth LOVES food and any opportunity for a good meal cannot be dismissed in her book. Secondly, I LOVE a good party so I was never gonna turn down the opportunity to 'turn up'.
Thirdly, and most importantly, as Nigerians, food and celebration are a huge part of our culture, (we love a party), and 'Faaji Sundays' (translation: Enjoyment Sundays), was a place of bliss for the both of us, not least because of the food and entertainment on offer!
This monthly event is fast turning into one of the chill out spots you wanna be at - take it from us.
Hosted by my former colleague Yinka Odukoya and her business partner Frances Para-Mallam the fourth installment of Faaji Sundays took place on a roof top in East London, headlined by the the irrepressible Mr Solek and bolstered by DJ Neptizzle on Sunday 25th June. We were treated to tasty food (the jollof game so strong), great vibes (everybody was there to let loose after the long week) and a good time.
We would definitely recommend you get yourself down there at least once and check it out!
